The Board of Windsor Pride Community applauds the contributions of retiring Board members Dani Bobb, Julie Leadbetter, Sandy Campeau, Darcy Zeller, Scott Mattson and David Lenz. Together, these individuals represent decades of contributions and dedication to the LGBT community. The community is fortunate that many have agreed to sit on the various Programs and Fundraising subcommittees of the board. Their dedication to renew the Summer Festival over the past 4 years has energized and pleased both residents and tourists. Their work to expand the scope and nature of the education programs has increased participation rates. Working with Federal, Provincial and Municipal governments, they have brought to Windsor Essex, approximately $210,000 of investment in the LGBT community.
Together this record of achievement is outstanding. We are thankful to them for their ideas, passion and sense of civic responsibility. Vacancies on the Board create the opportunity for new leadership and innovation, and we invite you to make an investment of time and talent in our own LGBT community.
