About Windsor Pride Community
Windsor Pride Community has grown from a small but important march on City Hall to an annual celebration of thousands. Windsor Pride Community is a non-profit, volunteer driven organization offering year round programs to support the LGBTIQ community and its allies and operates the regions only Education & Resource Center located at 422 Pelissier in the heart of downtown Windsor.
About ?Stride With Pride?
?Stride With Pride? is our second annual fundraising event that takes place along the scenic Windsor Riverfront on May 23rd, which coincides with the Victoria Day holiday. Joined by other community agencies, this event runs concurrently with the Mayor of Windsor?s city walk in celebration of our city?s 119th birthday. The event is open to the public and to anyone who is interested in supporting the programs and services of Windsor Pride Community.
As part of the Mayor of Windsor?s City Walk, you are invited to stick around after the walk for a community celebration and three hours of free interactive play stations for families. The city will provide food, cake, and other refreshments to those who attend the event.
GLBTIQ individuals, their friends and families, and straight allies are welcome to join the Windsor Pride Community at the riverfront as a sign of support; however, we would appreciate your efforts to gather pledges to support our programs and services.
As an incentive and Stride With Pride challenge, the participating individual who raises the most funds will receive two first class tickets on Via Rail to Montreal. The second place prize is two first class tickets on Via Rail to Toronto.
Pledge forms will be available at the center.
