The tradition that kicks-off our annual festival each year, this symbolic ceremony brings to light why our annual festival of diversity is so important. Be there to celebrate as local dignitaries and community leaders come together to show their support for this important community, cultural and tourist attraction in Windsor-Essex. |

Cost: $5 at the gate all evening Drag diva Miss Conception will be your emcee for Windsor Pride?s version of a true talent competition. Queens (and kings) from Ontario and parts of the U.S. will battle it out for an outlandish cash prize of $1,500. What would a competition be without judges and we?ve pulled out all the stops to bring some extraordinary celebrities, including Sunny Fong, winner of Project Runway Canada and Ambrose Price, host of HGTV?s The Decorating Adventures of Ambrose Price. Three finalists will go on to compete the very next day to see who will be crowned Windsor?s Next Top Drag Superstar. |

Parade

Bring the entire family to Riverside Drive for our annual parade of diversity through Downtown Windsor. Features Joey Wright, graduate of Walkerville Collegiate who this past February, worked diligently to secure our area?s first Gay Straight Alliance (GSA) within the Greater Essex County District School Board. Riding alongside Joey will be Walter Cassidy and Amy Tessolin, Walkerville teachers and sponsors of the GSA at their school. Joining Joey will be two dozen other not for profit groups, marchers and floats in what promises to be a parade to remember.
PARADE HAS NEW STAGING AREA
Due to the ongoing municipal strike, our parade will no longer stage at the parking lot on Caron Ave.
Instead, we will stage right on Riverside Drive between Campbell and Sunset Ave beginning at 10 a.m.
Participants are asked to enter the staging area at Sunset Ave onto Riverside Drive. From there, Windsor Pride volunteer will assemble you in the parade order.
Parade will begin from Campbell & Riverside Drive at 12:00 p.m. sharp
Heading east on Riverside Dr towards Downtown, the parade will turn left onto Ouellette Ave towards the Detroit River. Then quick right into the Riverfront Festival Plaza site

Featuring delicious food, merchant and not-for-profit vendors and more world-class entertainment, featuring Kelly & the Kellygirls (Toronto), The Joys (London) the finals of our Next Top Drag Superstar competition and much more! Take a trip down memory lane and walk through an interactive display cataloguing some of the history of the LGBTT experience in Windsor-Essex over the last 40 years.
