ABOUT THE WINDSOR PRIDE PARADE

The Annual Windsor Pride Parade will be held on Sunday, August 8, 2010 at 12:00pm beginning at Ouellette Avenue & Elliot Avenue and proceeding through Downtown Windsor to the Riverfront Festival Plaza.The Windsor Pride Community?s annual parade, rally and festival is a tradition attended by LGBTIQ and non-LGBTIQ community members throughout Southwestern Ontario and Michigan. This year?s festival focuses on bringing all different segments and diverse groups of the LGBT community together to celebrate the accomplishments we have made in the Windsor-Essex region and Canada as a whole.

The Windsor Pride Community has grown over time from a small but important march on City Hall, to an annual celebration of thousands, and into a not-for-profit, volunteer driven corporation attracting not only supporters within the LGBTIQ community in the Windsor-Essex region but our friends in Southwestern Ontario and Michigan. The bigger we get, the more fun we have and the more we can showcase the Windsor-Essex region and Canada?s proud diversity.

Spanning several blocks and attracting an audience of over 6,500 in 2009, the Windsor Pride Parade is the Windsor-Essex region?s premier celebration of culture and diversity. Come to the Parade on August 8th, 2010 to see what it?s all about!

PARADE ROUTE

In 2010, the Pride Parade will again start in the heart of Downtown Windsor. The Parade begins at 12:00, Sunday August 8th at Ouellette Avenue & Elliott Avenue, heads down Ouellette Avenue to the Riverfront Festival Plaza, which is the Festival Site.Want your group to be a part of our parade?
