Windsor Pride Festival 2010 

A HUGE SUCCESS and Thank you!

Dear Windsor Pride Community,

I have been involved with the Windsor Pride Community for over five years now holding such positions as editor of the Pride Guide, Sponsorship committee and Board member, but nothing has been more exciting and fulfilling than planning and putting together this year’s Windsor Pride Festival.

There are many individuals, organizations and businesses that help make the Windsor Pride Festival the best event that it can be every year and this year was no exception.

From sponsors to donors, from volunteers to patrons, everyone in the Windsor-Essex community plays a role in the success of the Windsor Pride Festival. Thank you to all the organizations, businesses, sponsors, donors, and volunteers who have made 2010’s event possible.

A special thank you to my 2010 festival committee who worked tirelessly to bring you such a fantastic event. The committee included David Petrie, Chip & Steve Daveluy, Gerry Demers, Mel Lucier, Penny Estey, Michele Caldwell, Mike Long, Joselynn Crosby, Ginny Lundgren and Joey Wright. A huge thank you goes to Rob Donaldson who helped keep all of the accounting in order over the weekend and Kathy Carroll for keeping the website updated. Without these dedicated people giving their time and energy since February the festival would not have happened and I thank them for all their hard work - it paid off!

 Another huge thank you goes out to this year’s enthusiastic volunteers who were dedicated and helped the festival committee with everything from security, setting up tables and chairs, picking up garbage, checking ID and so many other jobs. The Windsor Pride festival would not be possible without people like this.

 I would also like to thank those of the Windsor Pride Community board members who contributed this year in volunteering over the weekend.

And lastly, I would like to thank all of you in the community who have continued to support us by attending our events and fundraisers throughout the whole year.

We look forward to celebrating the 2011 Windsor Pride Festival on August 2 – August 7th, 2011.
