Counselling Supports
If you identify as 2SLGBTQIA (or are a family member, a caregiver or an ally of someone who is), there are various counselling services available to you:
Family Services Windsor-Essex (FSWE)
2SLGBTQIA-friendly counsellors are available at the Langlois office of Family Services Windsor-Essex (FSWE) and offers individual, couples and family (including children’s and youth) counselling services in such areas as marriage, addiction, depression, anxiety, sexuality, separation, divorce, parenting, trauma, self-esteem and emotional regulation and overall wellness. Counselling fees are affordable and they are committed to ensuring that no one is turned away due to their inability to pay. If you need to talk, Family Services is there to help!

Windsor-Essex Transgender and Allied Support
Counselling supports can be provided on an individual basis at the request of the client. This support is extended to people who identify as Trans*, friends, family, and partners by appointment only at no cost. Counselling support is also through referral to our community partners.

Community Crisis Centre
The Community Crisis Centre is part of Hôtel-Dieu Grace Healthcare’s (HDGH) Crisis and Mental Wellness Centre and operates as a one stop shop for mental health services. Serving individuals aged 16 and older, the Crisis and Mental Wellness Centre is a walk in service for those experiencing a mental health crisis. The Centre is funded by the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care. Services are provided at no cost to you upon presentation of a valid OHIP card.
